Game description

Save Chaka is a 3D first-person RPG. It is about the CandyFantasyWorld being attacked by an inexplicable dark force. People in the kingdom are controlled by the dark force and become monsters. The princess is also imprisoned. As the protagonist, you come here. It seems that you have some connection with the princess. You are carrying the task of saving the princess, and you are embarking on an adventure.

Inspiration

Inspired by the legend of Zelda and the traveling frog, I finally decided to design a game mainly based on collection.

Character setting

Player: Young warrior, who came to the candy kingdom and was summoned by the princess, started a new journey in the CandyFantasyWorld under Chaka’s guidance.
Chaka: She is the princess of the CandyFantasyWorld. She is smart and responsible. She has always regretted that she failed to protect her people. She has been waiting for the arrival of her people,   and has given him guidance to save herself and everyone.
Little monster: The villagers in the CandyFantasyWorld were controlled by the dark forces and turned into monsters.

Level Design

Level 1:     Level 1 is a simple level to collect crystals, which is mainly used to familiarize players with the basic operations of moving ,  running ,  jumping and picking up items.
Level 2:    Level 2 is a maze and egg collection. Players need to explore the maze by themselves and avoid the monsters patrolling in it. Finally, they can collect seven eggs from the exit and open the door to get out. Once the player is caught by a monster, he will return to the entrance of the maze and start again.
Level 3:   Level 3 is that players need to observe and find that they need to use the eggs they just collected to attract the attention of the guarding monster, and finally they can get the key to save the princess.

Iteration record

The game has gone through three stages.
The first stage is to complete a game with the professor's Walking Wonders template, and three parts have been done, but it is not the effect I want.
The second stage is to complete two simple collection mechanisms and find someone to test. It is concluded that: (1) There are not many prompts in the game, and they are not uniform. For example, the mouse click to open the door and place eggs and the E key to collect items. If there is no prompt, it is difficult for players to find out two different trigger methods; (2) In the second link, players can go to the key without being stopped;In view of these problems, we have made changes. First, we have added a key prompt sign to give players a clearer experience; Second, add collisions to monsters.
The third stage is to absorb the teacher's suggestions, add a maze mechanism, and let monsters patrol in the maze to add gameplay and fun to the game. Finally, the color and overall atmosphere of the scene and ground are improved.
